What Are Garage Door Clickers and How Do They Work?

Clickers are simple remote devices that allow you to open and close your garage. Both the clicker and the receiver have a small computer chip with identical code generators. Clickers work with opener receivers which are attached to your garage. These two operate through a signal that they can understand. When you press the clicker button and operate the door, a new identical code is generated both by the clicker and the receiver. It is saved in memory for the next operation. If the receiver detects a radio signal that is similar to the saved code, it operates the door. The requirements are simple your personal code and digits that you can easily remember.

Garage doors are usually large in size and quite heavy. Without the clicker you have to physically bend and stretch to open and close the door of your garage.
